What is mindfulness?

Mindfulness originated in Buddhism around the 5th century BC. It is a practice to increase control of our attention to the here and now, and to remain in the present without unwanted emotions. In short, mindfulness is doing what you are doing without emotional or mental intereference, anchoring us in this very moment.
